Meet some of our UKCAT Teachers!
Kaplan's UKCAT teachers are a highly-trained team who rank in the top 10% of UKCAT test takers. Many of them are final year students and graduates from top medical schools. They have a relatable understanding of the application process, and are experts in teaching the strategies needed to score highly on the test.

Aisha scored an average of 732.5 on the UKCAT, which she accredited to taking the Kaplan UKCAT course before applying to University. She's an active member of the GP MedSoc committee at UCL where she runs panel events with GPs. She is also a Med Mentor, supporting underprivileged students applying for medicine.

Nikhil is a final year medical student at Imperial College London, who has been teaching Kaplan UKCAT and BMAT course for 4 years. As an experienced UKCAT teacher, and a previous Kaplan UKCAT student himself, he highlights that although it's often said that you can't revise for these tests, you most certainly can and should. "Kaplan is continually expanding and editing the material to keep up to date with all the changes on the test, and to make practice material as useful as possible".
Top Teacher Tip! "It's good to be organised: have a timetable of important dates and try to book the UKCAT early so that there is enough time to focus on the exams."
Rohin is a 4th year medical student at Oxford and decided to teach UKCAT courses for Kaplan two years ago with the aim of helping students through this tough phase in the application process. He scored 815 on his UKCAT test in 2013, and is involved in the delivery of the new Kaplan Future Doctors Channel. At Oxford, he is a member of the student medical society committee.
Top Teacher Tip! "The most important part of any exam is technique and this is especially true in the case of the UKCAT, since the focus is not on curriculum content, but skill, pace and mental agility."
Tasneem has been teaching the UKCAT for 3 years and is now a 4th year medical school student at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She scored 725 on the UKCAT and states that getting a good UKCAT score gave her the confidence to apply to medical school, and allowed her to get all her interviews. As a previous Kaplan UKCAT student and a current teacher, she says that Kaplan courses provide the basic grounding and foundation to build skills for the test.

Amna is a final year student at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine. She has been teaching for Kaplan for 4 years and achieved an average score of 730 on the UKCAT. She also assists with other areas of the application process and has sat on medical school admission-interview panels. Her specialisation interests are in paediatrics. She is also an active member of the “Teddybear Hospital”, a student-led society at Barts and the London which aims to educate children about the importance of health in a fun environment, and eliminate their fear of doctors and dentists.
