USMLE & US Residency Events
As an International Medical Graduate you are required to take the USMLE exams to gain ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduate) Certification. ECFMG Certification says that International Graduates have the necessary skills and qualifications to work or start further training in the US. Every International Graduate must have ECFMG Certification to work or train in the US and all must complete Post-Graduate Residency Training to become Board Certified to work in any hospital or State in the US.
To gain ECFMG Certification, you'll be required to take the USMLE Step 1, Step 2CK and Step 2CS exams and for State Licensure and eventually Board Certification you'll be required to take the USMLE Step 3.

Can't attend the London Center for an event?
Contact us with your postal address, requesting a USMLE diagnostic test (please state the test you'd like, they're available for the USMLE Step 1, 2CK and Step 3). We will send it to you the test in the post, you should complete it in a timed setting, following the instructions and send it back to us. The Medical Programs Manager will then contact you to discuss your results and answer any questions you have.
