IMGs Participating in the 2011 Match Must Apply for the Step 2CS Now!

International medical graduates and students applying to the 2011 Match have today been reminded they must take their USMLE Step 2CS by the 31 December 2010. If IMGs do not do this they will not receive their results in enough time to participate in the 2011 Match.

US Residency Match 2010 – Advanced Data

All International Graduates who wish to become Board Licensed in the US will need to complete a Residency Training Program. To gain a training program you’ll need to participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP – www.nrmp.org). US Residency Match takes place in the March of every year and this year it was the biggest in history, filling over 95% of the positions available.


The Post Match Scramble Explained for 2010 International Medical Graduate Applicants

When the National Residency Matching Program, “Match” takes place in the March of every year a number of residency programs and applicants go unmatched. Two days before candidates receive their match results unmatched programs are released. Unmatched candidates can enter the Post-Match Scramble. This is a two-day period starting on 16 March.
