The college admissions process can be confusing and
frustrating, to say the least. Each college has unique
requirements, ranging from what standardized tests it recognizes
to how many years of a foreign language you'll need to take.

Why Kaplan?
Personalized Guidance
Kaplan carefully matches you with a consultant based on your
achievements, interests and target schools. Your consultant will
work with you closely so that he or she can offer specific advice
about your college process—advice you won't find
in books, websites, or seminars.
Proven Results
Each year, many of our clients notify us about their college
acceptances. Your consultant can help you build winning
applications and increase your chances for acceptance to your
target colleges.
The Admissions Essays
The focus of Kaplan's consulting service is the admissions
essays – the opportunity for you to stand out from other
applicants, and the most challenging part of the application for
any candidate. You will benefit from a critique of your essays by
a Kaplan consultant who is familiar with what schools are looking
for. The consultant will assess your essays with an objective and
experienced eye, and suggest how you can improve them to make the
best impression. We recommend that we work with you on one
school's essay(s) first, allowing you to replicate what you have
learnt with other schools. During 5 hours of admissions
consulting we could, for example, review two drafts of a school's
essay(s), plus review other aspects of your application.
Other Aspects of Your Applications
As needed or requested, we will allocate some of your time
with the consultant to discuss other aspects of your
applications, including recommendations/references, choice of
schools, transcripts, and application forms.
